Infatuation with Gi-hun. Will he develop it into something sexual? In-ho goes back in the games for the same reason Oh Il-nam did: to feel something again. He badly wants to prove Gi-hun wrong about the goodness within people and break his spirit. He sees himself in him, a previous winner who entered the games to save their family, someone with a generous nature and agreeable disposition. Principled, because he donated his kidney to Jun-ho and knows that Gi-hun's misfortune comes from the strike at his company. I think it's worth mentioning that they're both disarmingly handsome as well, as I find that pretty privilege is real and face-to-face communication, especially in a forced contact setting like the games, can change everything. But all the similarities he sees between himself and Gi-hun, In-ho hates them because he hates himself. In-ho steps in and out of the role as hero near flawlessly. He gives convincing speeches on why they should vote to leave the game. As viewers with an omniscient view we get to notice the clues he drops to tease Gi-hun which are soooo frustrating. His quip about not drinking regular milk, slipping up and using Gi-hun's name even though he shouldn't know it yet, saying the people who got umbrella in Gi-hun's Dalgona game must've died, In-ho's fake name being a comical giveaway, him laughing at Seong Gi-hun because it's like Gi-hun's playing an equally substitutable and fake role except that's really how he acts, messing up Spinning Top on purpose (I had to watch a couple times to catch that!). I love that we get to see In-ho's gazes at Gi-hun. Major incredible flowers to Lee Byung-hun, every single one of his looks gives me life. It is difficult to express the emotions of three people on one face but he is remarkable...
