Food as death reminds me exactly of Israel and Palestine. Omar Hamad just recently reported on traps American and Israeli forces have made to kill Palestinians seeking aid at designated aid points. They tell people to go there for salvation only to kill them.

"I've found the solution to this game! We'll pack a lunch box." As if killing others gives you life. In that game it does and the VIPs want you to think the whole world needs to be like that.
